Yours Truly
In 2002, I founded two Yuku forums and started selling on eBay. These experiences taught me the basics of HTML, PhotoShop, and phpBB.
From 2005 to 2007, I worked as a Project Manager at HIT Web Designs and Origin 3 Web Designs. Beyond project organization, I delved into PPC management, SEO web copy, CSS, and JavaScript.
In 2008, I worked as the Online Marketing Director for Thrive Learning, a small business development company. My position put me in charge of SEO production work, including article writing and submission, content optimization, PPC marketing, and social bookmarking.
In early 2009, I began consulting Thrive's high-priority clients. I taught them about social marketing, advanced keyword and competition research, media optimization, site architecture, effective sales funnels, advanced link-building, and a lot more. Soon thereafter, the company gave me four other consultants to direct and train, and sales floors began handing high-priority clients directly to my team.
At the beginning of 2010, I decided to focus on my freelance writing, specializing in SEO, search engines, and related techonlogies. I had the opportunity to contribute to Search Engine Journal. From 2010 to 2011, I wrote hundreds of articles about advances in search and related fields, including early coverage of Google+ and the Google Panda update.
In 2011, I transitioned to writing for the always-phenomenal Search Engine Watch, where I am still a regular contributor. I've been able to work with Google representatives, the CEOs of SEO software companies, and leaders in the optimization industry to gain my own insights into the workings of the web.
Also in 2011, I also resumed work as an SEO consultant, this time with big-name clients who solicited me due to my contributions at major search-oriented publications. I have since decided to expand my SEO consulting.
The last decade has given me the chance to see web-based businesses from a variety of angles. Now, I'm able to use that background to your advantage.
Since I can look at and understand your code, architecture, design, sales process, social presence, SEM, on-page SEO, link-building, user experience, etc., I can see both mistakes and opportunities that others miss. Just as important, I can help you develop a long-term SEO strategy that creates a path to becoming a leader in your industry.
